The death of a parent or other close loved one is tough to cope with at any age – but if you are still a child, its unbearable.
Ele’s Place is a non-profit, community based organization that was founded to help children and teens cope with grief. Children can often feel alone and lost when going through the aftermath of the loss of a parent or close relative. Ele’s Place gives them a place to go to be understood and experience the company of others who truly do care.
Starting in April, Ele’s Place will be holding training classes for volunteers who engage in storytelling, group discussions, and other therapeutic activities.
If you would like to become an Ele’s Place volunteer, you will need to commit to attending a series of training sessions. Ele’s Place asks that you commit to ALL of the following dates/times.
- Monday, April 25: 5:30-8:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, April 26: 5:30-8:30 p.m.
- Saturday, April 30: 8:30 am-2:30 p.m.
